Norwalk.com based e-mail addresses are restricted to residents and businesses of Norwalk, CT. Only recognized residents and businesses may register an e-mail account. All registrants residency will be validated by the Post Master prior to activating an account.
First created in 1995 at the Online.Cafe in SoNo, the Norwalk E-Post Office is a service to provide residents with a personal safe and secure e-mail address and POP accounts. Ideal for businesses and people who want a professional appearance or are tired of having an address that is odd (embarrassing) or may be on a generic domain. Works regardless of your Internet connection or service provider, switch service providers and always retain the same address. No fear of losing contact with friends, business cleints and family.
The E-Post Office offers two styles of accounts.
Private Full-service E-mail Accounts: This is a full-service secure POP3 receive & send account. You can access, download and send (STMP) your e-mail using any standard e-mail application (as Outlook, Eudora, Mac Mail, etc.). Storage allocation is 10MB. For convenience, we also provide a Web based E-Post Office service to access/send your messages online using any Internet standard browser from any computer, anywhere.
Annual Fee is $49.95 all-inclusive per account.
AOL Accounts: If your connection is through AOL, you cannot use the POP3 direct, but only the Web browser service, as AOL does not allow non-AOL account e-mail sending.
Auto-Forward Virtual Address: This is a service for accounts that only require an address for receipt of e-mail at your existing service or change services, but never have to change your "To:" e-mail address again. With auto-forward ALL messages sent to your (alias)@Norwalk.com are instantly forwarded to any other e-mail address your want. The "forward to" account must be active and valid at time of registration.
