Senate Majority Leader Duff Named Legislative Champion by League of Conservation Voters

Environmental protection organization gives Duff a perfect 100% score

The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters has named Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff (D-Norwalk) as one its “2016 Legislative Champions” as a leader in bringing to the floor of the Senate votes on critical legislation that safeguards our land, air and water for the benefit of our entire state.

Additionally, Sen. Duff received a perfect “100” score from the organization on its 2016 Environmental Scorecard, which rates Connecticut’s state legislators by the votes they have cast on key environmental bills.

“Our state is blessed with an abundance of natural environmental beauty,” said Sen. Duff. “It is our job as legislators and policymakers to protect Connecticut’s waterways, open space and parkland. At the same time, it is critically important that Connecticut continue to invest in green infrastructure and clean energy. I am extremely proud to have been recognized by the League of Conservation Voters as one of its Legislative Champions.”

The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters is a non-profit organization encompassing a lobbying arm, an educational wing, and a political action program.

Previously, Sen. Duff has been recognized as a “Clean Energy Champion” by the New England Clean Energy Council for his leadership on clean energy policy.
